Ok I haven't been on since the new applet went in, First things first, it's extremely useful, Plenty of information, which is now winging it's way to cust services.
As for the results themselves, It is very hard to actually define if they are more accurate, They are roughly what I go the last batch of tests I did, 1mb down on a 6mb line :)
Back during the end of last summer I had big problems with slow speeds (like is happening now actually) and it was themselves who recommended your tests and only once I had results from there did they get onto it and fix it.
They don't seem to really know how many people they are putting on each line, It should be one of the lowest in the country but the head of bb repairs etc told me when I asked that he did not know how many they have per line and that he could not find out....The joys of Irish broadband..
I will test the line either extremely late tonight or first thing in the morning because I have always gotten around 5.5 down during offpeak times so I can verify if it is better then.

Well NTL were always saying that our tests weren't accurate etc., etc

Kinda late, but just tried it and seems to be fine, have the 3Mb package, speed test is reporting 2.78 down, 298 up. no complaints on that
